D.C. SHAW CONFERENCE GENERAL SCHEDULE

Oct. 15-18, 2009

On Thursday, October 15, after checking in at the conference hotel, the Hilton Rockville (directly across from the Twinbrook Metro Station), take the Metro to Dupont Circle around 5:00 pm and, after exiting the Metro, walk a few blocks northwest on Massachusetts Ave. to begin the conference with a reception at the Irish Embassy (2234 Massachusetts Ave. NW) on Thursday evening from about 6:00 to 8:00. Daily sessions (on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16-17) will be at the Pryzbyla Center on the campus of The Catholic University of America (Pryzbyla contains a food court, restaurant, Starbucks, book store, etc.). Group sessions will be in Pryzbyla’s Great Room A (3^rd floor), and break-out sessions will be in nearby smaller rooms. On Friday afternoon, buses will take us from the campus to Clyde’s of Gallery Place (near the corner of 7^th St. & G St.) for a buffet dinner, followed by a Shaw play at the Washington Stage Guild Theater (9th St. between E & F^th). Buses will take us to Hilton Rockville after the play. On Saturday night, a buffet dinner will be held at Pryzbyla, followed by a Shaw play at the CUA’s Hartke Theater, and again buses will take us back to the Hilton Rockville. The final event will be an ISS business meeting on Sunday morning at 9:00 at the conference hotel, the Hilton Rockville (room TBA).

The following General Schedule is still tentative. Expect changes.

Take Metro Red Line (Twinbrook Station) to CUA (Brookland-CUA Station) & walk to Pryzbyla Center (from door to door takes a minimum of 1 hour).
