THE 2009 SHAW CONFERENCE IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

yourself, a grant application, a 300-500 word abstract,

document, if emailing, and in that order)
This grant, first of all and at a
minimum, pays your conference registration fee, which covers a lot of
expenses. The registration fee includes
the welcome reception at the Irish Embassy on Thursday evening, Oct. 15, all daily
sessions at Catholic University of America’s Pryzbyla Center on Friday and
Saturday, Oct. 16 & 17, continental breakfasts there, refreshments during
the day, buffet dinners on Friday & Saturday nights, tickets to two Shaw
play productions, and chartered buses to and from the Friday night play and
from the Saturday night play to the conference hotel. For possible assistance in meeting other,
unreimbursed conference expenses as well (hotel, flight, etc.), please explain
your need for additional funding below. Whatever the grant (up to $500
total), you are expected to attend the entire conference and, if scheduled, to
deliver a paper or participate on a
panel. Send application below to
